He talks to his baby mama every day?

I started dating this guy and his baby mama will call or text him every day, sometimes 2 to 3 times a day. She will send updates, talk about diff stuff the baby is doing etc. I know they have to talk but it just seems like they do literally every day and last weekend she called him like 4 times at 12 at night because the baby basically had a cold. Is this just how it is?

He’s coparenting, and that is good, because it shows that he is able to be involved in parenting in a healthy way.


If you dislike it, I would suggest bringing it up to him or moving on, because that’s what happens most times when you are involved with someone who is a parent.

If he cares about the kid then basically. Mom might be sending too many updates and all but I dunno if you feel really bad about it then you probably want to bring it up with him and just ask.

Otherwise from this description it's a good thing? Shows he cares about being a dad but I'm sure you have limits or boundaries so you'd wanna try figuring that out between you two.

It's not going to change. Ideally people without kids don't date people with young kids. If you don't like it, now is a good time to get out of the relationship, before you get so deep it's hard to leave.

It sounds like its a new baby, yea its really normal as long as they are still friendly with each other. But, yea, you are going to have to deal with that from now on. If a guy wants to be their for his kid, he'll be taking to the mother regularly.
