Guys, would you care if your girlfriend stopped shaving her armpits?

Say you pick her up for a regular date and she's wearing a sleeveless dress (or top) and has pit hair. Would you just be surprised, or would you be really weirded out?

I would just be surprised.

I would think it's weird at first but I would get used to it.

This made me giggle because I was just talking about this with my boyfriend.


He said he wouldn’t really care but he’d prefer if I did remove it - which I respect. I have my preferences for his body and facial hair too, he has every right to have a preference for mine. My boyfriend wouldn’t care much if I do decide to grow my body hair out, but again he has his preferences and I agree with them.


However, I wax my armpits… And when you wax, you have to let it grow out a certain amount before you can wax it again (because it won’t stick and won’t be as efficient if it’s short). So, my armpit hair grows out for maybe two weeks but it’s very light and unnoticeable unless you’re up close and feel it lol. Same goes for leg hair.

Well most people just change up their appearance sometimes, right? Thats pretty normal. Not like it's super drastic like shaving her head or getting a tattoo with no warning.

I've seen dozen of women with shaved heads, and hundreds of women with tattoos...

but I've never seen women with hairy armpits... so at least in my experience, no, it is not so common

Compared to what she looked like before, I mean. If you already have a shaved head then yeah that's just normal. But if you shave long hair off, that's a drastic change. But if you just let some hair grow out a little it wouldn't be so much, more like a guy growing a small mustache or yeah okay I see how that would change the look a lot. But just because it's not common doesn't make it *more* drastic. Not a lot of people wear anklets either, but that's still just a small change. People still change their look a lot, even if the way they do it may be less common.

Yeah that makes sense. I'm just saying that it is not more drastic just because it's less common. It is a bit drastic because of the no hair to hair, but not more drastic than a tattoo just because you haven't seen it as often. Tattoo is still bigger change. But lots of people don't like tattoos either so hey it still makes sense

No? Tbh I just asked this because I asked one about boyfriends, and wanted to balance it out by asking one about girlfriends. So I tried to think of something obvious associated with the other gender and not that common, but also not really that big a deal. I guess I underguessed this one, but anyway it seems like guys are way less concerned about it on the whole.
