Guys, Would this be a turn off for you?

I'm a 16 year old girl, and because I have pretty strict parents, I don't have a phone yet. I do have access to a home phone which i use to call my friends, and i have a computer to talk to friends too, but I'm just wondering is you, as a guy, wouldn't want to get to know me since i don't have a phone. Is this like a major turn off? Or wouldn't it matter to you?

Focus on your studies. I understand that you may still be on the "rebellious" phase, but chances are, you will be thanking your parents for their supposed strictness when you get older.

Yeah. But I come from a time before cell phones. So it was more plausible when I was your age that she might not be able to use the phone. To day I think a lot of parents give their kids cell phones for security reasons and the ease of contacting their kids.
I think if I was a 16 year old kid today I would assume she was making it up.

Your parents are if anything doing you a favor. Since apparently the percentage of young girls that have cell phones and social media access are depressed and have a whole bunch of social issues.

They didn't have cell phones when I was your age but if a guy actually gives a shit about you, he won't care about something so trivial as a phone. How are you supposed to call somebody in an emergency? Borrow somebody's phone? There's no public phones anymore because of cell phones. You're not a little child anymore, and tell your parents to stop living in 1955.

I think that's more of the parents problem than the girls. So it would bear no judgement towards her. I think there are many that would think that way too, so you'll be fine.

Not totally if not having a phone doens't make it hard to make plans with you. I am a completely offline person myself, so i personally like that, bit still it kind of makes it hard to communicate privately and frequently which can be a little bit of problem in dating life. ( One mans opinion tho )

Well, I don't look at people under the age of 21, so this doesn't apply to me. But I think for an adult woman who didn't have a phone, no, that wouldn't be a turn-off to me.

If you want some good advice? NEVER knock your parents for being strict with you!

more importantly , what you SHOULD ask is whether you use social media -such as Tinder- and if that's a turnoff for QUALITY self respecting guys.
