No, everything has context. If she texts "k" in response to a direct question then it's fine. However, if she's repeatedly texting "k" in response to more complicated questions then it might mean she's being emotionally distant. Overtime this becomes annoying.

Depends on context obviously. If your talking about something important and she just stone walls you that's a bad sign. And then if that's a pattern even worse so that's a slope that ends things.
If she's just simply responded K to a normal thing like 'Be there in 10mins' and she goes 'K' that wouldn't bother at all.

Why would I do that? "K" is just short for "okay", meaning she's agreeing with what I just texted her.

K can be used as a short answer to cut someone off. While there trying to make a point. Not just as okay she's agreeing with you which then if one uses it that way it shows they don't really care nor listening to what your saying.
Then of course this becomes a problem for communication.

'K' has two contexts to it's meaning. Like 'fine'
