So issa different story for me... i have fiance n here we have this little tradition in our families if not in all... that we gift 1 pair of clothes n some money n either sweets/cake on both the eid festivals... and that is given by my family but i choose the clothes so my sister chooses a few for me n then i select 1 outta those

I want her to be her and confident.
Women wearing clothes they didn't like are not free to be themselves.
My wife is a radiant queen and I want her to shine with HER light.
Not cover it up with my fashion sense.

I would say, both, I would select something that looks like an outfit of there’s that I enjoy seeing them wear, like the guy I used to like looked amazing in dark colours cause he had a mysterious looking body and face.

Typically I always just buy them joke clothes or stuff I've heard them say they wanted. Joke stuff being ugly sweaters or once I bought a lace bra for a boyfriend for Valentine's and he bought me men's cologne. 🤪

I tried to buy a girl a dress. I thought she might like it. She did, she just thought it was a little too conservative for her taste. She's going to wear it to her divorce hearing though. So, it's not like I totally failed at it. I did get her a shirt she liked though.
