You can share your matching outfits too...
That's like the ultimate "we're in this together" statement, isn't it? I've gotta say, it's one of those things that can be super cute or a bit much, depending on how you play it.
Personal Expression: Wearing matching clothes can also be a way of expressing your personalities as a couple. Whether you're both super into sports, comic books, or just share a love for minimalist fashion, your matching outfits can be a way of showcasing your shared interests or vibe to the world.
The Potential for Cringe: Okay, let's be real. There's a fine line between adorable and overkill. Wearing identical outfits every single day or choosing super cheesy matching tees can venture into eye-roll territory for some folks. It's all about balance and knowing when it's cute and when it might be a bit much for the occasion.
Consent is Key: One crucial thing to remember is that both partners should be on board with the idea. If one person is super into it and the other is just going along to be nice, it might not feel as special. It's important that both of you are genuinely excited about the idea; otherwise, it could lead to some resentment or discomfort.
Mixing It Up: There's a way to do matching outfits without being too matchy-matchy. Coordinating colors, styles, or even just wearing complementary accessories can be a more subtle way to link your looks without feeling like you're wearing a uniform.
In the end, I think it's all about what makes you and your partner happy. If wearing matching outfits brings you joy, boosts your connection, and makes you feel closer, then I say go for it! Just be mindful of each other's comfort levels and preferences, and remember that the best matching aspect of any relationship is the mutual respect and love you share.
I've never matched outfits with my partner, nor have I been asked to. I've always liked the idea though. I'm really into aesthetic and I think that pictures can look better when you match with your partner.
@7Phoenix7 which side are you picking... left or right?
@7Phoenix7 yes...
because of things like this... is that I became ambidextrous, lmao...
@7Phoenix7 Alice in Borderland... a Netflix series, which might come back for a third season, so... we can enjoy the first two
and no... leave that left hand in there...
@7Phoenix7 1001% recommended...
I dont want to do it personally but I dont judge when I see couples doing that. But my boyfriend does it sometimes.. He asks what I am going to wear and come with wearing same colors... I find that very funny because he does that as a surprise lol
I wouldn't match a full outfit but me and my husband have a few matching shoes and accessories and once in a while I wear some of his blazers since I love an oversized fit.

The only time I have done this was for parties - a couple of Halloweens and a couple of themed parties. I don't recall ever matching clothes for everyday wear, beyond maybe the same T-shirt. I'm not against it, but I don't remember ever doing it.
I've been doing Santa at Christmas most years for close to 25 years, and a past girlfriend got a Mrs. Claus costume to match. We did a Star Wars Luke and Leia for Halloween, and a 70s Disco couple for another party. My 70s disco 'fro was glorious.
My wife and I do sometimes but we do it sarcastically knowing we look obnoxious and dorky. 😅 One we like to wear for Karaoke is a matching set of gigantic sunglasses like this.
Combined with matching backwards baseball caps. Then we're like, "Yooooooo sup! East-side!"
Then sing duets at Karaoke.
First, I want to say that I try not to judge others who do it. I'll kind of side eye a little for a moment, but then I usually remember in quick fashion that we're all a little different, interested in different things, and willing to do different things. That being said, I think matching partner outfits, at least for me, how I feel, what I think, etc... Is tacky. Matching or having a theme for Halloween? Maybe, but in everyday wear, I'm not really down with it.
lol Mom and Dad Were Always a Lovely Match Like with Color Schemes. xxoo
I wouldn't do it on purpose but I'd find it funny if it did somehow happen accidently.
I think it’s cute if done right, maybe one piece of clothing like matching shoes or matching sweaters/jackets. Or just having the same color palette of clothes. I’d probably wanna try it once with a partner in the future.
I have a twin. I ain't matching anything other than that. I don't even match my own cloths.
My ex husband and I sometimes ended up in similar outfits or coats and jackets because we had a similar taste in style, but if it was too samey one of us would change. It’s a bit odd.
It’s a no for me. Maybe similar styles like the same sorta shoes in different colours that day or both deciding to wear flannels but that’s as far as it’ll go. But Britney and JT aren’t it
I think it is cute if the clothes are nice and have a light matching theme not like the same outfit or too much print.
I have never actually done that though.
It is one of my personal pet peeves. I hate that.
Now, it can happen the some synchronicity can happen by coincidence due to a close bond but deliberately. So cringe.
I wear a diaper at night because i am a bedwetter and if my girlfriend wore a diaper at night too i wouldn't care because she is kind enough to not tease me about it
Eh, I don’t think that is for me. I’d feel weird.
Never tried it. But in all honesty, I would love to do that with a partner.
It's fun. Kinda cringe, I'll admit , but still cute and fun
Nope. Just cringe
I think it’s cute 😅
The men I’ve dated actually liked to match with me as well.
Yes it's cute if you wear matching outfits to Disneyland ☺️ or some other theme park. But anywhere else, it looks dumb.
I like to do it with my baby and dog lol ofcourse I’m gonna want to match someone I’m dating.
it's just for the press and photos saying hay LOOK at US
Cheesy under normal circumstances and ok if you're going to a costume/ Halloween party
