What are your thoughts on a girl that can do handy work like- carpentry, electrical, plumbing, landscaping etc?

I'd be all for it. This would indicate to me that the woman is hard working and not a complete priss. Whenever I have kids, I will teach them everything I know, regardless of if I have a boy or girl. I am good with carpentry, masonry and plumbing but do not know shit about cars outside changing tires and oil. I met a woman once who helped me when my car broke down. In that moment I was not worried about her being a woman knowing this stuff. I was grateful a stranger helped me with a simple fix that would have cost more than it should at a mechanic.

The mans an idiot. Its his lost. Clearly he felt challenge. The one who owns the tool bag and is always headed to home Depot to check out more tools in this house is me! I'm the handy woman in my house because I have to be. My family depends on me. Im not a pro but I get by with the basics. I never had it be considered a turn off. In fact I get quite a bit of attention from the guys shopping at home Depot. I think you ran into an insecure man. A woman who's not afraid to roll up her sleeves, pick up a power tool and get a little dirty is an asset.

I have a female friend that could shame a guy because of her skills. She's a motorhead and repairs her vehicles (she's also into motorsports so she rebuilds motors), she's worked heavy industrial maintenance, also did a stint as a pipe fitter. Good looking? Dressed up she looks like a trophy wife.
If the difference in our ages was less, I date her. As it is, she a good friend.

Definitely a nice addition because then it can help get additional things done around the house and save money if we can fix our own things.

No problem with it if it isn't used as a way to flex or be thrown in the face as a way to say she's better.

Cool you can handle it then😆 I don’t see that as a problem at all. A man who is threatened by that is insecure in his masculinity, and would do better to say what is really bothering him. My daughters aren’t getting cars until they can do basic wear and tear without being a dependent. If they can convince someone to do it anyways that’s on them but they will at least know how, if only to be able to tell the dumba$$ he didn’t do it right😆

I like girls who aren't affraid of getting their nails dirty or broken. I wouldn't be jealous or looking negatives towards her for the fact that she has skills that aren't typically normal for most woman. I would be proud of her and I would certainly date her because I see it as something positive instead of negative💪🙏😁
