I think it depends where you come from but I don´t feel like guys are more harshly judged than women. Being the guy has always been combined with expectations like having your shit together and other stuff. That´s our role, we´re the providers that´s what we´re in for (at least that what it feels to me).
Like what do you want shall decrease in value? Also I don´t think that most guys just wanna have "just a girl" especially if I look at the expectations many of my mates have they are also pretty high and many of them aren´t realistic either.
Don´t get me wrong, my life is hard as well. My life is full of struggles and expectations I´m no where close to reaching all of them or the majority of them but looking in human history that´s part of manhood and masculinity.
All guys are trying to meet standards and fail. We all do some of us more harder and more obvious than others.
I feel your struggle with that but life never will get easy for the majority of people and so either we get used to that or fall behind miserably.

Yes. I feel men in general are mistreated and their value is placed on the wrong things these days. I feel really bad for men in western countries especially. There's a lot of social pressure and not a lot of reward.

Yes, there is definitely more criteria that men are judged by. Girls usually are judged by looks or personality.
