Whats the pettiest reason youve stopped talking to somebody?

When I was a kid I visited the US over vacations like summers and Christmas, and I made some long-distance friends there between visits. So I got to play Super Mario 3 in Japan and I told one of my best friends, Frank, that I got to play and it hadn't been released yet in the US.

Then he called me a liar and told all his friends that I'm lying and that Super Mario 3 hadn't come out yet but it was out in Japan. Then I told him it was out here in Japan and he didn't believe me and said that would mean that Super Mario is a Japanese game, not an American one. Then I told him it is a Japanese game! It's made by a Japanese game designer and developers and he thought I was a compulsive liar just trying to make Japan sound good.

After that we got into a fistfight and I punched him and his nose bled and I told him I'm so sorry and didn't mean to punch him so hard but then he punched me and my nose started bleeding and I tackled him to the ground and didn't want to punch him anymore and kept trying to say that we have Super Mario 3 in Japan and I described it to him like we can fly with the cape and there's a world selection and everything.

But he kept calling me a liar and run away and told everyone I was making things up and a compulsive liar and he turned everyone against me. So I stopped talking to him after that and never contacted him again.

That was pretty much the pettiest thing -- over a stupid video game! But I missed him a lot when I visited the US after that.

I forgot his last name. I only remember "Frank". But I thought him my best American friend and then our friendship ended over something so stupid. We used to visit each other's places all the time playing video games together and I became friends with his sister and mother too. They were all so nice and I wrote letters to him when I was in Japan.

My parents would help me to write letters to him since my English wasn't so good back then. It seems so stupid now! If he just waited a year or two, he would have seen that everything I was describing with respect to Super Mario 3 was true! :-D But that one brawl ended everything and I was too angry at how he told everyone that I was a liar to write him more letters.

Kind of a broken heart for me. I still remember playing video games with him all the time and he treated me to lots of American foods like hot dogs, bacon, and things of this sort. He was a kind of nerdy-looking kid with pale skin and thick glasses and dirty blonde hair. But I considered him my best friend and tour guide to America.

I don't know how petty it is, but I stopped talking to dozens of girls because they didn't initiate text conversations.
I recently cut off a girl I was hooking up with because she had bad breath the last time we met, and blamed every difficulty in her life on being black: "I'm the only colored girl at my job, and [regardless if I showed up late, was unreliable, etc.] they put me on probation; I hated XYZ school because it was so racist..." It was so gd annoying.

Someone who i was starting to get close with did a complete 180. And became real shut off to me and short with responses, made me feel like they didn't want anything to do with me.

No clue why, since our last convo before that was her telling me i look good and me thanking her.

So i cut her off, i don't deal with people like that, just not worth my time

Never been petty. I give people way too many chances, before I say goodbye. I’ve learnt the more time you give people, the more they take advantage. This method has only ever delayed the inevitable.

People who take, take, take, and NEVER give back. Many of ny friendships have ended this way. Including with a BEST friend! I would not say it's petty.
