How would you feel if your boy brought you flowers?

My boyfriend never buys me flowers except for on Valentine’s Day, but showed up to my house with a professional bouquet of flowers. I was so happy and surprised but when I asked him where he got them from, he said “don’t worry about it.” I figured out later that it was a centerpiece from an event and they were handing them to people to take home. Is it bad that I’m disappointed and feel a little sad that he doesn’t make and effort to buy me flowers or should I be happy that he thought of me at all?
