A soft boy is a sensitive, sweet and romantic type of guy. The complete opposite of the toxic masculinity we've seen. He's understanding and is more concerned about the quality of the conversation and relationship he has with someone.

Ref update: That sounds like my type of guy. I like a guy who is sweet and caring. I can tell you that is exactly why I am engaged to the man I am right now. He is a gentleman and very caring. He treats me well and respects me.

The opposite that you describe as toxic would not be of interest to me.

I had someone who I really liked but she said nothing would ever happen for us. She was my friend of mine from high school who didn't really talk to until I saw her again on Instagram. We started talking and it lasted for months. I told her that I was developing feelings for her and she didn't say anything about it for a while so we kept talking but I was openly affectionate towards her now. A month later she said she has someone else she's interested in and nothing would happen for us. I gave her so much time of day and found exciting new ways to keep things going for us but it wasn't enough for her. She left a void that I've been trying to fill for a couple months now and it's hard to let go of someone you spoke to every day for months even calling at odd hours to talk. Hurtful
