Would you date someone who has issues and is unstable/unpredictable?

might get hurt if you can't handle their emotional outburts.

I would not. I was around that... a girlfriend of a girlfriend. Damn it was scary as hell. I understood her issues, and maybe she could be healed enough in time and work, she was just emotional, not physical that I saw. But with a man... they are physical and can end life fast. It's a no.

What were her issues and what was her being emotional like?

she was sexually abused by her father as a child for years. Add to it she was near menopause at that time, so some combination of unresolved trauma and hormones. She'd have no patience and emote in a rage that send me cowering. Otherwise, nice, fun and entertaining person. I don't recall being that scared in real life. Now I think of it, I saw something similar in another woman of similar age, possible alcohol influence, similar history and she'd outburst at her husband and assault emotionally. Feel for them, but very hard for someone close to handle. Hard on the husband, but he was stomaching it somehow. It's sadness underneath it, if can see that and respond with compassion and patience, maybe ok in their cases, I only saw verbal/emotional.
