Well I of course thought he was being too overprotective and it didn't stop anything anyway. Made guys nervous in highschool but horny teens will always find a way. I just got creative lol.

I feel that my dad was overprotective because he loves me and I was his little girl. He didn't want anybody to hurt me. He's a guy so he knows how guys can be. He was just trying to protect me from that.

My stepfather behaved this way for many years whenever the idea of me dating anyone came up. And he would be rude and threatening toward the guy. Then he ended up doing sexual crimes against me.

So in my personal experience, possessive behavior indicates sexual interest. So I can’t understand why someone would behave that way outside of that.
