I'm at the speed dating event right now but all the women are in their 40s. I guess I should have read the details closer. I'm just using this as practice anyway but yeah no thanks to 40 year old women sorry...

OK, suggestions:
1. Think up a quick summary of and about yourself you can start off with reciting on each girl.
2. Try for #1 above to be as upbeat as you possibly can be. So to some extent DO NOT "just be yourself", which would mean venting your loneliness and your alienation.
a) Of course, don't claim you have hobbies or pastimes that you really do not have,
b) but DO try to muzzle the negative feelings you have, unless by chance she vents that way first and you can magically bond over that.
3. When time starts to be running out, quickly ask for her email and phone (text) number, before going on to the next girl.
