What type of hangout is appropriate for a girl's birthday when we have only hung out for 6 weeks?

I know her birthday is coming up and since we just started talking I was going to be casual about it and sneak a gift by paying for something casually after she celebrated with family. She brought up the fact her birthday is this weekend and asked what we should do for it. I didn't plan anything or get a official gift cause if it doesn't work out I feel like not being the bad memory was ideal. What should I plan?

Don't fret about it too much because after all she's a friend. Good hangouts can be to an amusement park, going to the movies with a friend group, or go do some bowling or something similar. There are so many more options but since you're friends, you should also get a couple of her friends and your friends to go together as a group.
