How to meet single women?

I go on these dating apps and I can swipe right on like 30 different women and I'm like lucky if I get 1 or 2 matches. The conversations are usually not very engaging and short lived. I'm not sure what they are expecting me to do except the usual introductions and ask questions as to what they're looking for. I'm not that bad looking either so what am I doing wrong? I'm nice, relatively fit, I have hobbies, my own place, like animals. Years ago it was much easier to meet women but nowadays I can go weeks without a response. I don't think I'm setting my sights too high?

In fact, they’re boring.
You don’t need to introduce yourself, or ask what they are looking for.
Just go in with a statement about something from their profile for example. Be relevant because it’ll be a novelty for many women who now are bored of ‘how are you’ ‘what you up to’ what you looking for’..,,
