We stopped talking a long time ago like 9+ years because she had a boyfriend she dated since we stopped talking, buttttt yeah. Her birthday is coming up and i never forgot it. I always wanted to say happy birthday but all i can do is message her on IG i lost my numbers a long time ago. Umm would you reply to such a message or find it creepy? To be clear, I am over this person from long ago, I just want to see if this has any shot.

okay if I received that message from another girl I knew very well I would be flattered that they remembered but receiving that from a guy I barely knew is a little creepy, although I can't speak for everyone though.

9 years is a long gap. I would find it strange if I received a message after all that time, especially on my birthday, considering I didn’t receive one on the 8 other birthdays…
I wouldn’t respond to it. Can’t speak for anyone else.
