I prefer casual like walking around, watching stuff @ home is potentially problematic bc of the now ubiquitous “Netflix & chill”

now if I invited someone to watch something I’d literally mean that & vice versa but they may assume I mean sex, they may mean sex. So I avoid that by waiting till we know each other enough that it won’t be misconstrued.

It doesn't always have to be at home. Sometimes it is just a picnic you both prepare together and find a place with a scenic view to chat and snack

I can't stand how they look, how they are drawn, how badly they are animated and the fact that over the past 60-some years, they have NEVER changed the look of their art!! You would THINK that, after ALL THIS TIME, they would've FINALLY learned how to draw and animate!

Honestly, are you just seeing mainstream anime? Anime has a huge variety of art styles. Most of the mainstream stuff is shonen because it is popular. Thick lines lots of yelling, dynamic angles... it's a go to for shonen art
