Which ones better (1) ask to hang out over messenger or (2) over the dating app ?

I added this girl I work with that I’d like to get to know better because she’s really nice and I think she’s cute but I don't know which approach is better messenger or dating app so she knows I’m interested. P. s I don’t wanna hear don’t date co workers

I usually go out once a week for drinks with a bunch of work people is that a good way to just get her out to get to know her outdo work

If she's a co-worker, why not just talk with her? You know, like humans have been doing for centuries. Why does it have to be hi-tech?
