The chances depend on what you perceive as “hot”, it can be a career it can be how much money they make etc. Because their can be attractive people who don’t have jobs or who do have jobs and are extremely lavish with their lifestyles.
Anyways let’s get into it I’ll make it short and simple…
Men, men have been proving to us for many years that they’re mostly attracted to looks rather than our personalities and would rather stare at your face and body while you’re talking about the laws of physics or what you did at work today instead of actually listening to you and engaging into the conversation with you. Now, we know that not all men are like this but the majority of them are. To say that a man of a high social status and career status would be open to dating an “average” woman would be almost reaching. But to each their own right? Maybe there could be who knows but the chances are low. I haven’t seen Harry styles date an average joe it’s always been super models or Hollywood stars.
So do I believe average women have high chances of dating a “hot” man? No, but it doesn’t mean you can’t or couldn’t.

Women have always been more open when asked about their ideal types they’ll usually start off with their personalities , caring , charming, intelligent, patient…whatever their warm hearts feel like saying. They’d much rather spend their life with a man of quality whether they’re attractive or not. Now, it doesn’t mean that ALL women don’t go for looks…no no… there are a lot of women out there who talk about guys looks and if they’re cute or hot or not to date those attractive men but end up getting deeply heartbroken. And some end up marrying them. Do “average” men have high chances of dating a “hot” woman, I believe so but don’t get your hopes up too much because most of us are extremely independent.
So, that’s my take on that.
It depends.
by looks alone, a hot guy is more likely to be with an average girl than a hot girl with an average guy based on the fact women have way more options when it comes to dating and sex.
however, when outside factors like personality, behavior, resources are brought into the picture, an average looking guy is more likely to be with a hot girl when he can display masculine behavior traits along with career success or potential for career success.
Men are more attracted by what a Roman looks like.

An average looking woman will get 100 messages from men, on a single day, on any given dating site. An attractive man (7, 8, or 9 out of 10) will get 10 messages from women, on a single day, on any given dating site.
So yeah, a woman who is a 5 is literally considered ten times more attractive than a man who is an 8 or 9. This isn't even taking into account personality and how women need far less personality to get by then men do (men need to be cocky, funny, charming, interesting, AND assertive; women only need to not be b*tchy to impress a guy).

I chose B. An average man. But only because of female hypergamy.
If a man is a normie in the face but has money, is tall, & is popular, then I'm sure that many Stacy's would rather date him than a chad who is short, broke, & unpopular. They'd likely just wanna smash the short & broke Chad.
But Chad's don't care about their girls financial status, height, or social status (etc.) to the same degree. They'd generally rather date someone at their looks level or above it. Which is arguably a more stable relationship on average.

This depends on so many metrics! What do we consider hot?
With men considering most women attractive and most women considering only a minority of men attractive, thrre is definitely am argument to be had in favour of men.
If we however were to separate it based on top X % from some vote and ask ourselves who can best defy that? Likely women. The core reason being that expectations for other things than looks are relatively low for women and so there's a lot of room to impress outside of looks.
Just to answer the update men are marginally less shallow than women.
It's simply due to society's tendency to praise women over every little thing they do and break men down expecting the impossible from them before giving them a shred of praise.
It makes even hot men have a lower self esteem and so they would settle for an average woman.
While hot women, they will only take the best of the best and if he ever loses a step they trade him for the new best.
Due to hypergamy women usually swing for the fences (and they can be deluded about it). Many of them waste large amounts of time “dreaming” of dating and marrying a male celebrity.
Now the daydream itself it’s that bad. But it’s indicative of deeper problem that many women have higher expectations for the men they date then they have for themselves.
However there is a subset of men who are very good at emotionally manipulating women and using “angles”. Many are average looking but they can manage to pull hot women by being funny assholes. It’s aphrodisiac drug women are attracted to. I’ve seen it happen time and time again.
Personally I think everyone would love to find a totally cool, down to earth, real and genuine hot person to date. But the truth is that someone like that is as rare as unicorns. So in general I think average looking people have the best chances of finding someone, because average looking people tend to not set the bar for what they are looking for too high and keep their expectation within more reasonable limits.
Women are by far more shallow than men. However, if this question is in any relation to you, let me say for 100% fact that you are FAR from average. You are insanely hot. So don't sell yourself short. I would literally pick you out of a line-up of women, your are just jaw droppingly hot.
I've seen a LOT more average looking dudes with total smokeshows than I've seen attractive dudes with average chicks.
The average woman has more dating options than the average man, this absolute certainty includes dating “up”. The only thing a man can do to increase his chances of dating up is become a top earner, and that’s very difficult to do.
I don’t think Donald Trump was ever good looking and he’s been banging super models for fifty years. Gene Simmons estimates he has slept with 4,600 women and he’s downright ugly.
Sufficient wealth of status and a man’s looks don’t matter.
I’ve seen a study, and if I can find it again I will, that being overly attractive isn’t actually all that attractive. Average looking guys can pull really great looking women because those men have a familiar comforting look.

Everyone has a chance. As long as they hold out and find someone who is into them. You are someone's perfect someone.
That’s not competition at all. An average looking woman will be seen as beautiful by majority of men.

Women are much more picky when it comes to dating. Studies have shown that. Therefore an average looking man who be discarded almost immediately by a hot girl than the opposite.
Honestly, if a woman looks super-hot or is beautiful, many men will be reluctant to approach her.
Lol I think it means that men just have lower standards are willing to take what they can get and take the easy road instead of putting in the effort.
I've never seen an average girl long-term with a hot guy.
All men I know are average and some have a hot girlfriend/wife, so that's my experience.
I see loads of average dudes with pretty women but that's just anecdotal and not a statement of fact.

There are way more hot women out there then hit men... But women are more picky then men.. so i think women have a better chance of dating a hot man. Because they can pick and choose
