Do you guys think he said that because he felt like im hurting his feelings?

So this guy I have been talking to for about a week now. We have went on plenty of dates. Some I could not make which he thought some I just maybe was avoiding him which isn’t true. So last night he worked 9am till about 5:30 and then got a 2 hour massage. We had plans to get dinner but I wasn’t driving. So then he said he would come and get me but it was 8:30pm by then. I was trying to be considerate that he lives 30 mins away from me and I know that he was tired but he took it as me not wanting to see him so finally but 10:30pm he was on his way to come and get me because he said he wanted to. But then when I told him I was trying to be considerate he texts me and says
“ I'm pretty easy-going I'm not afraid of getting my heart messed up anymore”

That is what you call a manipulation tactic and as much as you are trying to respect his boundaries and life, it doesn’t seem like he is doing the same for you. Guilt tripping someone like that is actually pretty gross on his part. I would be careful with this one. If he has a date planned with you - I don’t understand why he needed a 2 hour massage that day.

Exactly why would you get a 2 hour massage and still want to come get me 8:30 when you were off work at 5:30 ? And I try and be considerate but then he makes it as if I just don’t want to see him. It’s just confusing.

@bbhhgirl I dealt with a guy like this recently and honestly I figured out I wasn’t really his first priority. A 2 hour massage is extremely unnecessary when there’s plans to accommodate.

He has also told me how a relationship we was in he was used really badly. So I even try and treat and he still pays. So it’s like I don’t know what to do. Then he felt like some dates I couldn’t make that I wanted him to chase me but that was not the case. But if you want to go out almost everyday? I’d love it but I can’t all the time I’m sorry

The last probably didn’t work out for him because he lacks boundaries and wants to hang out everyday instead of just picking a few days of the week where he is completely available and not putting you on the back burner to his routine

Exactly and I tried telling him it’s better us doing things when we are completely free but he think it’s me avoiding him but I’m just considerate of others time and try to be fair

@bbhhgirl yeah I would stop talking to him. He’s going to put a hindrance on your peace by constantly having you go out with him everyday. He sounds like an older guy that has learned absolutely zero from his past relationships
