It depends on what you mean by "put on a pedestal".
Being adored by my woman makes me feel 10' tall. I love it when she thinks I'm big and strong and feels safe and secure when she is with me. Here's one example:
On my first date with my future wife, we got along fantastically well. We talked until the restaurant closed and then walked out to our cars in the parking lot where we continued chatting.
When it was time to leave, we discovered that the parking lot gate had been locked. So I hopped over the 6' cinder block wall and got a restaurant employee to unlock the gate.
Later, the way she told it to her friends, I was a super hero for effortlessly scaling that wall and saving the day. LOLIt's natural for women to love being adored, too.
I like lady-gentleman roles (at times) where my woman will allow me to treat her like a delicate flower in public. She's perfectly capable of opening doors and doing things for herself, but I think it's attractive when she acts feminine and when she thinks it's attractive when I act like a gentleman.
It's fine for two people to adore each other. But if "putting on a pedestal" means putting someone above you, then nobody should do that. They're just a human being.
