AAnyone feel invisible?

I feel invisible like i have nothing to offer. I have a decent enough and in shape fit body and guys seem attracted at times so i figure thats SOMETHING. But i dont have an interesting personally or anything. Im a total follower. Im very dumb tbh like i dont have much to say on my own. :s

I want to be of value and I try to do my job good but other than that i dont know what to think of myself. I can't blame others for the fact i have NO friends or family. The most i have is coworkers im friendly with at work.

Being interestED is interestING, you dont have to be a high flyer to be important to and valued by others. People like being listened to it makes them feel important and valued and the more you listen and learn the more likely you are to have something to offer other people and then you become the speaker.

Im not sure how to go about making friends as an adult to be honest, you would have thought that it would be easy enough with seemingly so many people who have nothing going on but that doesn't seem to be the case, I think people tend to keep to themselves and assume that no one they meet has any room for them in their lives and it can be embarrassing not to have people in your life so I guess people dont advertise their status.

There must be things that you like more than other things, shopping doesn't count, that is just trying to fill the void in your soul with things, even if you had endless money it wouldn't work, the only way to fill the void is self love as Carbonaraqueen spoke of and that takes time and practice.

So subjects.. buildings, history, art, film, philosophy, current events, cat videos on youtube, something. So find something you think you might be interested in and learn more about it try to involve yourself in it in some way, ideally in a way which leads to interacting with people. If something isn't working for you then explore something else. The more you learn the more things you potentially have to talk about and even if you dont at least you will be listening to things you like.

There are communities of sorts I believe these days surrounding people on youtube, that isn't that helpful as it is unlikely to be local and therefore real world to you but maybe that is something?

I do know how you feel in a somewhat similar situation. Live a pretty boring life really just go to work come home and repeat. Nothing exciting really happens which is probably why I'm still single

Same here. I dont even know what to do. I like shoppig but im poor i shouldn't shop.

I would say get some hobbies, go to beginner lessons for fun activities, try new things you usually wouldn't, put yourself out there and talk to new people. Once you do a few activities like this, you have things to talk about. See if there's a walking or general outdoor activity group in your area, this is a fab way to meet new friends! And it's easier said than done, but try to stop with the negative self talk, if you truly think you're boring you're more likely to come across that way. Try writing lists about what you love about yourself and consciously saying nice things to yourself in the mirror. If you make an effort to nip negative thoughts in the bud, it will become effortless in time.
