Why do people come back months/years later even if you haven't spoken since?

Sometimes, they have a very guilty conscious and they need to relieve it. Sometimes, it is part of their treatment like in AA and drug rehab situations. They are repenting of their sins so try to hear them out.

Other people that come back into our life have not changed and are once again trying to get something out of us... It takes awhile, sometimes, to know the difference.

They want to know how are you, how is your life going. Maybe they can't let it go. Maybe they've been through acceptance but if the acceptance haven't been through them...

There’s honestly so many different reasons, it’s hard to give a specific reason why a certain person would come back. Curiosity, loneliness, boredom, no other potential, regret, and the list goes on.
