It’s weird to me. Your second cousin is your first cousin’s child… You are still related by blood, but not as much compared to first cousins.


People have different philosophies on incest, second cousin relations, or whatever they want to call it. Regardless, It’s going to be an awkward conversation with the family if anything goes further than just a crush, I guess.


I personally would never even think or feel this way about any family members, because they’re family. Despite me being adopted and all my cousins aren’t blood related to me, I still find it disturbing to even think about it.

Is it normal, not for most people. Is it bad, i don't even think first cousins is "bad". Considering this is second cousins... Who cares? The truth of the matter is, even the biggest haters of cousin relationships don't know why they don't like it (spoiler alert: it's because someone else told them to). Other than to say they think it's gross which is obviously tied to the idea that they don't like it, because if they didn't know the people they were talking about were related, they wouldn't think it's gross. Other than that they say because of birth defects, but if they actually did any research on it they would realize the risk rate is ridiculously small... So that's not really a valid reason either.

At the end of the day i would say. As long as you're truly in love and have a really good relationship. Go for it. It's not like anyone else is gonna do that relationships for you so who cares what they think.
