could be anyone a wrong number, online with no photos, letters, work network anything, you just seem to click chatting back and forth you know somehow you could love this person?
Yeah I have and then lost them and really hurt us both big time.
a lad I worked with in RAF, spent 8 months calling back to the UK various engineering information to a point of contact at an airforce base. It was the same girl that he spoke to almost daily, he had never met her or knew what she looked like (he was clearly in to her big time, as would call even on is few days off)
They decided to meet when he got back to the UK, they started dating and then about 6 months later got engaged and then married.
This was back in 2008 and they are still married with kids.

I met a woman from Canada through work. We shared a lot of emails. I learned a lot about her and her family. Was love struck with her for 4 or 5 years.
We are still on line friends, swap e mails about twice a year. :)
Yes. Me and this guy met when we were 12, we spent a lot of time chatting and playing together, we always liked each other but never said it. We stopped talking for periods of time during the years but every time we talked again was just like instant connection. Last year we started talking about that and being open about our feelings, we are very similar and this could work if we weren't separated by a huge distance.
Yes. Odd connections happen. You can’t choose who you are attracted too.

I dated a friend with an anonymous profile, without showing my face, we talked (high and lows) for almost a year, but at the end she fell for another guy.
Was intrigued by and had good, meaningful conversations - yes. Developed a friendship of sorts, yes. But not anything that lasted, and I thought about them as friends mostly.
Most of my relationships started out as online situations, it’s just the way of the land, sometimes it’s the best way to start an actual connection other times it’s a great way to weed out fakes
I had a girlfriend from Colombia online and we couldn't see each other because of covid restrictions of countries and we broke up after 2 years of relationship. Now she is married and pregnant

Yes. I fell for someone online in 2019. (She knows who she is.). But in the end we decided to just be friends. I think it was the right call.
