+1 yI was at a weekly board games night with my friends, my one friend decided to bring her best friend along this time, I had never met him before but I remember when I first saw him and our eyes met that I felt something, it started off as just wow this guy is really cute and whenever he smiled at me my heart felt like it stopped... every time we hung out after that I slowly fell for him a bit more, it got to the point that it was hard to not think about him, fast forward about 3 years and we have been happily dating for just over 6 months now

+1 yI started at a new uni on a Monday. The following Monday, I fell for a guy because of a simple act of kindness. I moved in with him 4 weeks later. We are still together after more than 5 1/2 years.

+1 yWhen I was much younger and single, my sister set up a blind date for me. On our date, we went to a pizza place and talked so long that they had to throw us out... so others could eat. We went back to her place and continued our talking, as well as a few other things. We fell for each other that night. We saw each other several times during the summer (it was a long-distance thing, I lived 100 miles away), but unfortunately it ended when colder weather set in. I still have fond memories of her and that summer.

u +1 yI have certainly lusted for someone who I recently met but I don't think someone can fall in love until they really know a person.
30 Reply 311 opinions shared on Dating topic. I've gotten feelings for people really quickly, but it's usually because they started flirting with me first. I'll think people are cute (or occasionally "hot") when I first see them, but I usually don't start thinking too hard about it until after I know their personality better. The one exception is if the other person starts heavily flirting with me.
I wouldn't say I "fell for them" though. In situations like that, either the reason we have for interacting goes away before anything happens, or I find out something about their personality that I don't like and subsequently lose interest. In the rare circumstances that that doesn't happen, I still don't let things get too serious until I know the person better.30 Reply
+1 ytwice actually. once was from a dream and it lasted for about 3 years. no "strong feelings" but it was pretty long.
the recent one (lasted around a month) gave me hardcore butterflies in my stomach. it was not even a 'silly little tingly feeling' it literally made me nauseous and nerve-racked. i couldn't swallow bits without feeling the need to puke it all out. my heart must've been TIRED beating that hard. and this whole ordeal was when i was AT HOME. for some reason i felt much calmer near him.20 ReplyI have when I was in high school we had this events called NISSMUN where several students from all over Nigerian come to participate. So we were both undersecretary generals for conduct and compliance. I wasnât doing my job then one girl kept ranting at me which I just ignored then he told her to stop and then we started talking. We spent 5 hours talking about a lot of things. It was so funny because I was like Iâve had malaria for 4 months so thereâs no way Iâd have. Then I did have😂😂😂 malaria the night we spoke. Then the feelings became so intense that I always wanted to talk to him but I didnât know what to say🥺 then Nissmun ended and I havenât seen or spoken to him in a while
10 ReplyNo. It would only take a few minutes. In three days time it's entirely a well thought out more rational proposition.
So to be clear, the scenario you're suggesting, where say I meet some girl, and I don't exactly register a reaction right away, but like a day or two later I realize, "Oh shit, I think maybe I love you!" Doesn't really happen.
Anymore... Maybe it happened once... I remember that I was annoyed when I first met this one girl. And then later I realized that I was really into her.10 Reply
+1 yFell hard for this guy who walked into my place of employ âbout 20 years ago (restaurant). Flirted and flirted and he never asked for my number. Saw him again a month or so later. Same reaction to my flirting. Finally just handed him my number.
We married a year and a half later (still together😄)31 ReplyYeah definitely. It was the first guy I met through a dating app. We had seen each other twice and I just fell for him instantly. Just something about him just swept me off my feet. The way he talked, the way he moved, the way he looked, the way he smelled and the way he kissed. It was amazing. 😍
He sadly ended up cheating on me after I had to leave for my internship for 3 months. I'm still not really over him but I have enough self respect to not go back to him.20 ReplyYes even that I really can't say why
It rarely ever happen to me but I meet this guy and from the very first "Hey" in text they had me it hit me like a ball of bricks
Had that also with a girl I got to know later appertly we are a lot into the same things20 Reply- 2K opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yI think I actually did fall for a girl in a short period of time. It wasn't just lust. I could've not slept with her for a year and been extremely happy in her company. She said she was really happy with me and that there was nothing wrong with me, but obviously that wasn't the case. I'll never know what the reason was as to why she left. Sad story haha

m +1 ythat would be the case of my last two girlfriends, yes...
but those few days, rather that "regular dates" were more like hanging out for most of
the day, around 8 hours or so, sometimes... we really clicked right away and were really into each other20 Reply
+1 yYes, in 5th grade I met my best friend. I was like I should talk to him no matter what because he was a new guy and I was pretty friendly that time. Also he had a great personality and manners. Today also he is my best friend but sadly we are connected online only. He went to his home state. It's wasn't love, crush, lust or something. Just urge to make him my friend.

+1 yYes and itâs very possible too

Doesnât seem to be as interested as I thought? â10 Reply13.6K opinions shared on Dating topic. I dunno, maybe when I was younger. I don't remember very vividly what I felt then. But I'm much too smart for that now. I may like someone, but I know damn well to have "feelings" after a few days is nonsense, and I'm probably just creating it in my head. So I ignore it.

+1 yYes I fell for a guy within 2-3 days of talking to him a week in I was his girlfriend.. 2 years later I still am â€ïž
11 ReplyFor sure. My boyfriend and I have been together a year and a half now, but when we met each other we hung out for about a week and then started dating. We spent the entire summer together, best summer of my life :)
20 ReplyHell i fell for someone the first time I ever saw her running out to the school bus on the 1st day of 1st grade and I'm still in love with her and think about her everyday, some 43 years later
Unfortunately she never felt the same towards me so its been a living nightmare a curse torture living with those feelings11 ReplyThis is very normal. When I like someone for their physical appearance I usually ignore it. But when I like someone for their mental beauty I develop feelings very fast and it is intense. It happened with women who are already committed. But I know this is not love and just a liking. So I maintain my limits. Eventually this feeling fade out once I get attracted towards the next person. This is simply limerence.

+1 yI wouldn't say fallen, but yes they got my attention for sure.
I usually know how long it would run after just one conversation.
Like how they talk, what they say how they say and their mindset... Etc... For me that matters most than looks.
But have been on the other side few times...10 Reply That's just the excitement of someone new, especially if it starts off well. It's way too soon to be "love" as you don't know them well enough and takes time to develop. But yes, "other" feelings for sure and normal as everyone has felt that.
10 ReplyLmaooo that is certainly true! It's happened a lot to me over the years and I really started noticing it when I was more confident in myself and what I want. I guess that type of energy breeds similar energy? Whatever the cause, it's happened to me a bunch of times and each time is just as magical as the last - and like you said sometimes they fade just as quickly as they arrived
10 Reply2.5K opinions shared on Dating topic. Every girlfriend I ever had. :-)
I'm not talking about love. It's just that I liked them and found them attractive, and they felt the same way about me. Infatuation is wonderful.10 Reply- 542 opinions shared on Dating topic.

+1 yIn terms of love, it takes some more time for that to develop. But, instant attraction due to amazing chemistry? Yeah, Iâve experienced that, once. Weâve been together for over 3 years now, haha.

+1 yYeah actually on the same day... When we met she stared into my eyes for like 5 seconds straight lol.. We ended up crushing on each other for way too long but it didn't get serious... But I didn't have that insane attraction to someone before

Boo-hoo how sad for me.10 ReplyYes. Absolutely. Several times in fact. Both last and infatuation too. Some of them were good and others not so much because they weren't reciprocated feelings. But they did come with a lot of lessons.
