sis, even if he's heterosexual, hate is hate. don't excuse his behaviour.
+1 yI wouldn’t date someone who is heavily on the conservative side. I wear modest clothing, but at the same time, I don’t judge people who show a bit of skin either. I wouldn’t judge a woman for getting an abortion. I wouldn’t judge someone for being in a same sex relationship.
Not implying that most conservatives are judgmental, but from what I’ve seen, it’s usually them who are bothered by homosexual relationships. I’m more on the liberal side, though I don’t have a political affiliation.
I wouldn’t date someone who is homophobic. I have friends who are a part of the LGBTQ community, I would be disrespecting them if I get into a relationship with a spiteful man who is filled with hatred. My friends are more important to me than some random guy who is probably going to dump me after a few years. Why would I want to be with a man who spends all his time hating other people?
Personally, from an objective viewpoint, I could argue that most of these women who date homophobic men are homophobic themselves.. or they simply don’t care. I care though. Politics does play a huge role in my life and I couldn’t be with someone whose views do not align with mine (most).

1st of all women can be homophobes too and can be feminists themselves. Usually people will get together with others who have similar values or at least whose values don't conflict with their own too much. I doubt any woman who has a serious issue with homophobia would date a homophobic guy.
Besides that I just don't see the correlation between those two things.

You're comparing apples to oranges.
Men avoid dating feminists because there's no shortage of bad examples spread around that showcase behavior that is just undesirable for relationships, or any human interaction altogether. Feminists have several scapegoats to counter that, but being with one would still be a gamble that could be quite costly in the future. In this case, men are directly affected by this type of woman.
Now for the second part, you need to define what homophobia is, because there's no standard anymore. It could range from actual criminals who target gays to people who look at LGBT political stuff and disagree with it. Men won't go stamping their social media profiles or openly talk about their disapproval with the same frequency as modern women who label themselves as feminists do. Besides, most women don't noticed or are not affected by this, unless other traces of bad behavior leak out into other points of life.01 Reply- +1 y
Because sexism is a bigger issue than a man shoving his in another man
+1 yFeminist and homophobic belong to completely different categories.
Feminism is about rights. Homophobia is about sexuality opinions. I don't see any connection in them.
Women nowadays can invoke feminism only when it is advantageous to them. Otherwise not. Hence, rather than dealing with the headache, men just prefer to not date at all. Many other problems are also there and that too with higher priority than this small one.
Homophobia is actually something that can be shared by both the woman and the man. And I believe that women actually would want to date only that man who they are sure that will not generate any problem in this sexual category.

They're both about hatefulness
- +1 y
Homophobia can be hatefulness. Prejudice towards something takes place from hatefulness.
Am I correct here?
But feminism is not. It is about equal rights. Men do not hate real-feminist women, but try to avoid convenient-feminist women so as to not deal with them later on.
I think there is a difference between hating and avoiding something, right? - +1 y

Your question is a bit awkward. First who said men don’t date feminists, a lot of men like and admire feminist like me. And the best men are feminist ally. But men who say that they don’t date feminists are either misogynist or are thinking about extreme or “bad behaviour of some feminists”. Second who said women don’t care if the their date are homophobic. This second fake fact has no link with the first part. Only a straight and homophobic woman would not care if the man is homophobic and homophobia shouldn’t exist. Nowadays nobody should date someone homophobic, as a man that’s a big red flag and a feminist woman is a green flag. by the way being feminist doesn’t mean going to every protestations, they are many way to be active. For example just by saying to your man or woman friend that that hair on a woman’s body is fine or that insulting a woman because of her number of sex partner is not okay at all.

I've seen my girl friends ignore micro aggressive, homophobic behavior on their boyfriend's part saying "oh he's just like that, what do you do, right? Lol"
- +1 y
Yeah. I'm asking basically why women tolerate homophobia but men don't tolerate feminism.
The problem with "feminists" is that a lot of them don't represent what the movement is actually supposed to stand for. It's supposed to stand for equality in everything whether it's finances, relationships, social issues, medical attention, mental health etc, but many of these "feminists" spew out misandrist behavior. Its turned into a man hating movement rather than just fighting for equality. And the funny thing is, a lot of "feminists" don't even want equality. They just want the benefits of what a man gets without taking accountability for the disadvantages which creates double standards. That's why you see a lot of men avoiding a women who identifies as a "feminist". But a feminist who doesn't go on a man hating rampage, and actually wants to be equal while also taking full responsibility for any standards she can't meet is respectable.

+1 yThere is far more to those men than their opinions on homosexuals. The women who care about personality discover this. Plus their hate isn’t directed at the women, they have no dog in the fight. They don’t have to excuse the behavior, but the guy doesn’t like other men the way he likes women, there’s nothing wrong with that.
Many feminists, on the other hand, do direct hate at men. So isn’t it more healthy to give them space? They harp on respecting their wishes, so is that not the right thing to do?
00 Reply Firstly feminism and homophobia are different traits. So comparison isn't correct.
Mostly men don't like to date feminist is because they get too toxic (I'm talking generally) . They get aggressive in trying to prove their superiority. They don't enjoy life and are always out to prove they are equal or better than men. We date for enjoyment, not for competing to prove who is better.
Regarding homophobia, hating people for what they want to be in life is bad. Until the guy doesn't interfere in your life, why are you bothered with what he does. Homophobia is a bad trait.00 ReplyI don't know about the girls wanting to date guys who are homophobic, but as for the men part, yeah, no man wants to date a feminist, because most man hating women like to hide behind the feminist shield, pretending to be feminists and wanting to advocate for women rights but at the same time, label all men as rapists, sexual harassers and just people who only want sex.

and just to be clear no one has an issue with first generation feminism that was a positive thing. It’s new wave/modern feminism everyone has a problem with.

+1 yBecause homophobic men hate gay guys, not women, and especially not STRAIGHT women; lesbians wouldn't date them anyway. Dating someone who holds stupidly bigoted ideas is probably not very smart, but dating someone who openly professes to holding bigoted ideas against YOU, or at least a group you're a part of, is a much higher level of stupidity.

+1 yBecause those sell out fucks who pretended to even more horrifyingly actually got offended by things like man spreading kind of ruined the word feminist so instead of thinking about political issues that would help women like keeping abortion laws giving women the right to drive in the middle east people now think of that 3rd wave shit that's just irrational hate of men
00 Reply- 1.1K opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yBecause it’s literally in the title. Feminist (nowadays) hate men. Why would we go after something that’s hateful. It’s like chasing after a snake knowing full well it will bite you in the end. It’s stupid and foolish.
Whereas, homophobic people are down to have the same gender together. Usually male on male.. a lot of men are hypocrites when it comes to lesbianism. They think that’s hot where as man on man is disgusting. However, the answer to this question is really that simple and obvious00 Reply 2.1K opinions shared on Dating topic. So from what I know the social media version of feminism is crazy, but the actual text book version of it is actually good. So it really depends on what type of feminist are you and how you react to certain things. As for why women date straight men who seem/act homophobic. Huh mm either A he just doesn't like homosexuals which is fine or b he actually hates which is not fine. So it depends on the man and how he reacts to homosexuals and if that lady fines his ways hateful or not
00 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. Because being a feminist is completely different then being gay. Its apples and oranges. homophobes don't like gays, Feminist hate men but tolerate them.

and once again, not all feminists are man haters. Homophobes on the other hand... Don't even get me started
- +1 y
Homophomics don't hate men or women. They don't like guys.
Not all feminist are men haters, but the ones go around as self professed feminist usually have negative veiws on men.
Theirs a difference between being pro women rights and promoting women issues and being a feminist.
Definitions of Feminism
(noun) A social movement that advocates for economic, political, and social equality between women and men. (noun) A theoretical perspective stating women are uniquely and systematically oppressed and that challenges ideas of gender and sex roles.
So a lot of guys don't believe or buy into the idea that women are systematically oppressed. Wimen have equal rights in every way as men. But there will always be hard line differences between the sexs, so at some piont you ha e recognize and account the difference before promoting one over the other.
Definition of homophobia
: irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or gay people
So homophomics are people who discriminate against guys. Which in today's world at times seems to mean that if your not pro- homosexulism then your homophomic, which isn't true either.
Point being comparing homophomics to feminist is literally apples to oranges there's no based for comparison... there completely unrelated things.
- +1 y
Homophobia is worse, as those guys have nothing to do with other people's love lives
- +1 y
It's rude to comment on someone's sexuality. Period it.
- +1 y
So its rude when gays run around with their rainbow flags announcing their sexuality to the world? I mean its every where we go now days... the old days of not saying anything about and being discrete about your sexuality are over. If they want to run around waving flags then people can comment on it.
They don't have to be rude or obscene about it, but they don't have to agree or like it either.
Im more feminist than most women. And would be fine with being feminized by the right girl, should a dominant girl be so inclined...

13.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. I've pretty much only dated feminists -- women who believed that women should have legal equality with men. And I know plenty of women who would never date a homophobic man.
00 Reply2.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. Not liking homosexuals or approving of their lifestyle doesn't make someone phobic. That is just a term that ignorant people often use because they hate anyone that doesn't have the same opinions as they do. Sounds like a typical democrat.
Feminists hate men and are against equal treatment under the law. Any moral and logical person should not like modern feminists.
03 Reply- +1 y
It is if you tell them they're not normal. Plenty of people I've known would call me "weird" for being bi, which is offensive.
- +1 y
Killing is more normal than homosexuality.
If the entire race was homosexual it would cease to exist. That proves that it is NOT normal.
One problem these days is that people want to be immoral and want everyone to be accepting of their bad behavior and can't handle anyone telling them the truth. They hate truth and logical thinking.
I just want all homosexual people to stay away from me. I am not harming them or anything, I just don't want them around me. - +1 y
