when men only want to date women in their 20s?
+1 yMen 6'1 and above are a rather small percentage of all men in the world. More of them exist in Nordic countries but even here they're not the majority.
Men in my family are mostly tall (6' and above), my dad is 6'4', and my Ex was 5'9. Not short, but not tall either. Rather average.
Date who you want to, but there are 2 issues I can point out:
1. You're limiting your dating pool artificially and it'll be a very notable decrease. There are tall men, but you'll be fighting with a lot of other women to catch their attention.
2. If your own family are average in height and you are short yourself, everyone can see the hypocrisy in your standards, including those tall guys.
There was this girl at uni who had a bald dad and a balding brother (a great guy, her bro) but she talked about a balding guy in our team (another decent guy) calling him names behind his back. After a few times hearing her nonsense we reminded her that she's carrying her dad's balding genes, and we did it in an unpleasant way. I didn't feel sorry for her at all.
It's kind of the same thing with short girls from average-height families (aka most girls) when they obsess over tall guys. As a girl who grew up with tall guys, it just gets annoying hearing about their fetish all over the net or IRL.
P. s. one misconception is that tallness makes a man "dominant". Everyone who practices BDSM, however, knows that's nonsense.

Yeah. I'm 170 cm. Definitely taller than you and my husband is 6'2", not 6'3". Even my guy with all his features wouldn't be enough for you, would he? Lmfao
My Ex literally "protected" me as a teenager before we got together. As I said, he was just 5 cm taller than me.
I don't really care. Do whatever you want. You do, however, sound like a woman who will end up as an old spinster rather than woman married to her "tall dream guy". 🤷‍♀️

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI don't get mad, but I am 6'1, so I never came across that problem in my life. I don't want a 30 year old woman. They have a shit ton of baggage and they've been used by other men. My girlfriend is 20 and I am 29 and she's a virgin till marriage who is fertile and can give birth to healthy kids.
What would I want with some old hag who can only give me downy babies? I want healthy kids with no down syndrome or autism. I get money so I can have standards just like you.
I never had problems with money in my life and I generate a passive income. A 30 year old woman is for the bottom of the self type of guys and not me.
Nature mad it so men are attracted to youth and beauty because old women can have kids with birth defects. If women didn't have a biological clock then wouldn't matter what age she is. But that's reality to ensure the survival of the human race we need healthy smart and intelligent humans. I am sorry that's the way it is. Nature sucks. So sad, too bad.

You do realize that the chances of having a child with Down syndrome only goes up to 1% by the time you’re 40 right? Before that it’s.5%…. It’s fear monger if used to profile off of peoples fear… other that that birth defects or generally genetic conditions and age doesn’t really impact that….

Plenty of women are attracted to older men, but it’s typically because they have had a chance to grow into better human beings, the boy above is a prime example of what is unattractive to mature healthy adults, so naïve, inexperienced young women are easier pray

Men lose their attractiveness as they approach and enter their 40s. As a girl myself, I've always liked older guys , such as 5-10 years older. But hair loss, wrinkles, weight gain, saggy balls will never be sexy to me. Just cuz I like older guys, it doesn't mean I am attracted to my old fat uncles or senior citizens. - +1 y
Respectfully attractiveness is subjective, everyone finds different things attractive. I'm glad you're not attracted to your uncles, that would be concerning.

Some people, maybe most, get frustrated when they do not fit the preferences of the people they are pursuing. Height, weight, race, hair color, eye color, lack of muscles, too many muscles, too busty, not busty enough, derriere too large or too small, etc.

What Girls & Guys Said

+1 yThis is an internet thing, trust me. Just go to any city. I've been to NYC many times. The only girls I see with tall guys are taller girls rather than shorter which makes sense. I always hear this shit like "short women like tall guys and tall guys like short women" crap but I've honestly never seen this in the masses. Even guys that are like 6'0 - 6'2 I usually see with girls at least 5'5, but its not due to height its because there's more girls that range. Really tall guys are with girls like 5'8. Literally like 95% of the couples I spot the guys are not tall.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yMen don’t only want to date women in their 20’s.
A lot of it just comes down to time on the market. Once women are in their 30s and 40s them already having children becomes much more common—especially if they were hot. Why? Some other guy saw they were hot, busted a nut in them, and their marriage fell apart—but now they have a kid or kids who come with them. Yay.
So you get to possibly be a stepdad some kid hates to a wife who will “always put them first” while also dealing with her ex husband who has joint custody of the kids.
So is it really that questionable for men to want to date, fuck, and marry a 20-something? Not really. In fact it makes a hell of a lot of sense.
But tall guys can what, do useful things like dunk a basketball? See over the heads of Japanese people while visiting Tokyo?
00 Reply1.5K opinions shared on Dating topic. People get upset when they're excluded. I suspect it's generally only short men who get mad.
Women often get mad when men expres a preference for a certain body type. Getting upset at being excluded from dating preferences is not exclusively male.

- +1 y
Well, sure, when I was 17 I thought women looked best from 15 to 19 and that a 20 year old woman looked kind of old and over the hill.
It definitely all changes with age. - +1 y
That's a little ridiculous.
Think about it:
Do you WANT to be with a woman who doesn't want to be with you?
Of course not.
Furthermore, as for you, for every woman who might reject you for being less than average in height, there are plenty of women who are fine with your height.
==============
The rejected should just accept it and move on. That's the mature thing to do. And if the rejected are upset about it, then that just reinforces the rejector's belief that s/he made the right decision because, on top of the initial reasons for the rejection of the rejected, the rejected is immature.
After all, we all reject people for whatever reason and we don't want them mad at us because of it. It's just a fundamental difference in desires and available features. It's natural.

@IAteTwoFullHams
When I was in high school, none of the boys were interested in the high school girls. They were all into college girls. When I was in college, I attracted a lot of high school boys attention but I was never interested. - +1 y
Well... that definitely wasn't my personal experience. When I was in high school, all the senior guys wanted a sophomore girlfriend. It was seen as really normal and typical to date someone a couple years younger than you.
- +1 y
Well, maybe there's some observed trend there, or maybe the article was just making it up.
We all know that for every trend line there are exceptions all over the place. When I go on Reddit, there are tons of 19 year old guys asking "Where can I find a MILF"?
And I have to break it to them that they probably can't, because it's very very unusual for women in their thirties to date a teenager. - +1 y
teenage guys like college age girls. As men enter their 20s, they start preferring women a few years younger.
You also need to understand that high school boys dating scene is limited to what is inside their school walls. When you're a 17 yr old boy, you really don't have much access to college age girls. When I first started college, there were a lot of college aged boys breaking up with their younger high school girlfriends because college dating was so much better than high school dating. - +1 y
When I was in 15 in high school, most of the 16-17 yr old boys were checking out girls 19-23 the most. And my guess is that girls over 18 tend to be more physically developed than teenaged girls. By this I mean they have wider hips, bigger breasts, look more like women rather than girls.
- +1 y
Well, I think it's really normal for any guy that age to break up with someone who doesn't go to his school in favor of someone who does. He has a lot more access to the one he does, obviously.
I think the older a man gets, the broader his spectrum of attraction becomes. When I was 24, I wanted a woman who was between 22 and 25, and slim and fit. No exceptions.
And by 35 I was more like "damn, you know, I just like women." - +1 y
I think it will definitely change. Do you mean to tell me that if you started dating a 30 year old man today, you'll have lost all your attraction to him in eight years because he's now out of his mid 30s?
- +1 y
Biologically we, humans, are evolutionarily designed to be attracted to youth. Younger people tend to produce better offspring. When we take a look at magazine covers, we never see old people, we always see young people posing. If you take a look at porn, it only shows young people 95% of the time. If you take a look at models, it will always be a young person who is likely thin and fit.
I think that old people tend to date old people mainly because they struggle to get young folks in their prime. And also they're not likely to have much in common with someone 15-25 years younger. I have seen women in their 40s marry guys who look like senior citizens. And I think its all just a form of settling. - +1 y
We must be watching different kinds of porn ;) I find that no matter what I search for, the word "stepmom" keeps coming up.
Our culture is super weird about age. Like, honestly, the best musicians are about 60 years old because they've been doing it their whole lives. But everyone acts like only a 20 year old can write a song, even though 99% of the time those songs are pure shit.
It's true that guys who are in "have children mode" are probably focusing on women in their late twenties to early thirties. They're super fertile. For most of our lives, though, we aren't in that mode. - +1 y
@IAteTwoFullHams
Not really. Even 46 yr old single dads refuse to date women around their own age. I've met quite a few of them. It has entirely to do with looks. But typically young women aren't interested in guys that old , especially if he is a single father. Its really not about what you want, its about what you can manage to get. - +1 y
The only reason why I can imagine a 40 something yr old woman marrying a man who looks like a senior citizen is if she absolutely cannot find someone around her own age. Men in their 40s don't tend to want to date women in their 40s. To a 55-63 yr old man, a 45 yr old woman is pretty hot. Thats how I see it.
- +1 y
Well, if I could Weird Science a woman into existence (or Build-a-Bitch a woman, I suppose, is the more contemporary reference," and thus could "get" anything I wanted, she sure as heck wouldn't be in her twenties. I'd be aiming for around 34.
And I know you'd see a lot of diversity in the women getting designed that way. It's a really bad mistake to think that people mostly want the same thing and exceptions are rare. Exceptions tend to outnumber the adherence to any rules. - +1 y
Many senior citizens are attracted to senior citizens.
As the people you love age, the things you love about people evolve. - +1 y

I think it's just sad that you seem to live in this state of existence where you think there are Platonic Forms for ideal man and one ideal woman, and they have specific heights and weights and ages and races and body types, and that's what everybody wants, and therefore all life is just varying degrees of settling.

Keep moving the goal post... But again you'd be wrong. You only gain weight if you eat more calories than you burn. Men that stay active stay thin and muscular. Women wrinkle long before men do. Most men don't even show wrinkles beyond something like crease of at the edge of their eyes or a small crease in their forehead until they get to their 60s. By your 60s most men start to becoming visibly old. Hair thinning can happen anytime, but as a person who has shaved his head most of his life, that never was a concern. Guys grey at different ages, some in their 20s others much later. From my family genetics I'll probably have most of the color of my hair into my 70s. Just is what it is... Men don't walk around with their balls hanging out to show off our cleavage. Not a thing. That said, men's balls sag our entire life. When it's cold, the testicles pull closer to the body. When it's hot they sag away from the body. The purpose is to regulate temperature so that our sperm stay healthy. That's an imaginary problem.

@BeMuse
I will tell you about the truth and men's aging. A man's prime is late 20s to early 30s. By the time most men hit 35, they already have shown some signs of aging such as white hairs, bald spot. It only gets worse as they approach 40. By the time most guys hit 40, they start growing wrinkles, dull skin. By the time most guys hit 45, they already are gaining weight, getting saggy, wrinklier, continue losing hair, knee pain.
White men tend to age the worst compared to black or Asian men. By the time most white guys hit their late 40s, 90% of them look like shit. None of them are fuckable.
You keep talking about women hitting the wall at 30. Believe it or not, there are still plenty of women in their 30s who are still sexy as fuck. These women take care of themselves and their skin. - +1 y
I didn't talk about women at all. You did. I just accepted that you believe something and told you I will be tall for life. You do a lot of projection. It's pathetic. You ever had someone cold approach you in your own backyard and hit on you when you're covered in sweat and dirt? I have. I was 38. She was 26 and was a looker. You can make up all sorts of fantasies and project all your insecurities onto me and at the end of the day girls will still find me attractive. You won't change a thing.

This is the hole in your argument, you tried to personalize the situation by using words like "you" out of anger. Thus, all statistics are irrelevant. The only valid source for data to back your argument would be my personal testimony, and I've already told you that you are wrong, thus you are wrong. You played yourself into a corner where you have no choice but to be wrong. There's no way to twist words to dig yourself out of that hole.

Lets quote you since you lack an organized mind. You did a lot of this sort of messaging “just because you're tall”, “You can be a wrinkly saggy fat old man and still be tall”, “you will start losing yours at 35”, “you've just got a few more years to go”, "you do not look better at 40 than at 30", “do you really think you would get more young girls when you're in your 40s”, '”you don't think you will ever lose your looks". I already told you that I am 40. I will be 41 in a couple of months. You're dense as fuck. As far as who is more attractive, would all come down to the individual person. Attractive men will easily be more attractive at 40 than ugly guys are at 20. Attractive men are also not always at their peak physical form at any particular age. They might slack off and get fat in their late 20s and then get motivated and get ripped in their 30s to 40s and be overall more attractive.
- +1 y
Comparing apples to oranges just shows your progressing mental illness. If you want to compare the age of a person and how attractive they are, you'd have to look at a specific individual over time. That can very depending on the person. That said, as men mature and get more confident they tend to land more women than they did when they were younger.

Well, when tall guys decide to stop dating short women, we'll see how they act about it, then that will help answer your question.
I can tell you this though, I have turned down many fat girls in my time, and not a single one ever took it lightly, in fact they were down right offended and had some choice words for me. And not once was I ever rude about it, I was simply honest about it and told them in the nicest way I could think of. People don't like rejection, no matter what the reasoning is. - +1 y
Odd you assumed all of that noise about me based on almost zero information. Tell me, if you are so confident in yourself and you have all these hot guys chasing you like you are some kind of goddess, then why is it you hide behind a generic avatar instead of posting your actual picture?
You see, guys are horny, if they think you are an easy target, they will indeed chase you and treat you just the way you want to be treated. Men have learned that fat girls put out a lot faster than skinny good looking girls. They are not attracted to fat girls, you're just easy. There is nothing hot about fat jiggling or the cellulite that comes with it. There is nothing hot about a girl who when she walks, her legs rub together. There is nothing how about any of that. Funny, women dump on short guys and dump on fat guys, but they expect to be free of criticism of their own height and weight? Yeah, society doesn't own me like it does others... I will tell it like it is. - +1 y
there was a time in my life where I had no guys chasing me at all. Throughout middle school and high school, no guys every hit on me or tried to talk to me. It only started when I was in college where I had all sorts of boys crushing on me or telling me that I am beautiful or pursuing me.
If a guy is chasing you, it means he finds you attractive.

just because you think someone is average looking, someone else might find them gorgeous.

most men start balding by the time they hit their mid 30s. they start wrinkling by the time they hit their early 40s. In mid 40s, most gain weight. In late 40s, they get saggy balls or their knee doesn't work or their dick stops working at times. It just gets worse as they enter 50s
Opinion Owner+1 yOld men don’t have trouble getting hard with 29 year olds, just with old ugly women.
A shaved head doesn’t look bad, so going bald is not an issue.
Men have thicker skin than women and therefore don’t wrinkle as quickly as women.
Your personal wants will slowly become impossible to get as your tits drag off your knees, your saddle bags get wider, your lunch lady arms start flapping, your face cracks can’t hide behind makeup anymore. Your vagina is like a walk in closet.
Trust that you will see men you used to date and they will still look good enough to be wanted while you hid because you look like a typical expired female.- +1 y
Empirical evidence has also accumulated in support of women's preferences for older men, and as you might expect, the data often overlap with those data supporting men's preferences. As this sample of Conroy-Beam and Buss's (2019) review suggests:
Cross-culturally, women report wanting partners who are (on average) 3.5 years older than them.
In online dating, women make the first contact with older men at a greater than rate they do younger men.
Marriage records show that women are marrying men who are older than they are by about 3 years.
