I hear what you're saying, but I'm pretty certain the same thing can be said about women. Usually that single-digit percentage of men and women that have very unrealistic ideas about what it means to be in a relationship.

But to answer your question, it's probably because they don't often get rejected, so when it happens, they might try again and again and again until it works (somehow). And even if it worked---however unlikely---they likely wouldn't be interested in a relationship. It was just enough that they got the attention they wanted.

I honestly try to treat all girls as well as all people with dignity and respect no matter what.
