We are students, I've been living on my own for about two years now. I have a side job and he doesn't. In my country, students get paid to study though, so financially it isn't a problem.

@EmmaMary if you confront your parents and try to get approval from them make sure you ahve have plan in place. The place y'all are looking at, commute to work, finances, education.

Parents just want you to make the right decisions so tell them why you think your ready. Think of the questions they might ask ahead of time and answer them. Being prepared for situations like that shows maturity which I probably something they're unsure of with you.
