When should a couple move in together?

Some people say it's bad to move in together before marriage and some say it's good to move in together first to get to know them better and to see if it will make or break your relationship.

I think it's good to move in together before marriage to see if it will make or break your relationship. I'm just not sure when is the right time to move in together.

After 3 months of dating

After 6 months of dating

After a year of dating

After a year and a half of dating

After 2 years or more of dating

They shouldn't move in together at all until they're married

- if you live with someone and find out you two don't work together... you free yourself from a bad marriage

- if you marry someone and later find out you two don't work together... you are stuck in a bad marriage

- if you make sure you two work well together... then it won't matter at all, before of after marriage... living together will not be issue at all, lol

There's no set time really but i do suggest some time passes first before going for it.

you said in another question you been with this guy a year so that seems an adequate amount of time to me. so just whenever you both feel ready to do it. Try to save as much as you can first of course.

My girlfriend moved in with me after 8 months of dating, but there were some extraneous circumstances that influenced the decision. I would have preferred to wait another 4-6 months just to be more certain of the decision and not because I saw any potential warning signs.

It has worked out well and we will be getting married on April 27.

Releationship is just mariage tutorial.. the faster she live with me, the faster i will realize if she is compatibile with me. I saw many couples being " perfect" but the moment they start live together after 5 years they realized, that they can't stand each other.

I have no interest in being someone's lover. Nothing worse than an ''oh I love you, you're the love of my life, I trust you fully... but only as a girlfriend''. Sorry but it's all or nothing for me. I want the display of love in every single way, not just a verbal agreement. If he has nothing to hide, he show it publically in front of my friends and family.

Yeah I've changed my views since then. I no longer think it would be wise to live together before marriage. I am going to just move down to where he is to be closer but I won't move in with him.
