Ladies, does the height of a guy matter?

I want them to be taller so when they hug me to feel like they are protecting me :3 But I am pretty short by my own (160cm) so I do not need a super tall guy for that. My ex's height ranges from 172-182 cm, which is average. But, lately I met a guy 196cm tall. At first I was like wow it is super weird to be that tall but after meeting him at a party and talking for a couple of hours with him, I started consider him really attractive and I didn't care about how silly would we look the one next to each other. So, in general no. Height doesn't matters when there is chemistry.

Not to me. I know how I would feel if a guy rejected me because I'm 5'2", so I wouldn't want to do that to someone else

I’m only 5’6 so definitely short and I haven’t really had much of an issue Iv done better in dating than some of my taller friends surprisingly ha it definitely matters to some girls and to some it doesn’t just live life and don’t be insecure about it work on improving the things you can change and you’ll do alright

No. You used to say being short didn't matter. I remember *you* always said you wanted a man same height as you, but in general, said women didn't care about height. Anyway, it's nice to see you've changed your mind and admit that height is a make-or-break for men. (Especially men my height or shorter. Manlets get NO love.)

If it didn't matter, you wouldn't have said it. That'd be like me saying "Sure I'd date someone who doesn't love me and wouldn't treat me well that has nothing in common with me." And while you may do that, it doesn't mean that's what you truly want. Men have learned to read between women's lines for centuries now.

It's okay for women to want tall men (or in your case, somewhat short men like me, but even shorter). I just hate when women try to use soft language, or lie, to make it seem like height's not that important when we all know it is. If a man is 5'7", he's already starting 50 to 100 points in the negative with women and has to be perfect in all categories to dig himself out of that hole. Of course, if a man is 5'9" to 5'11", he's only starting 30 points in the negative.

It's okay, though. I'm stuck a shrimp forever! That's why I'm working on myself more. Women are an impossibility when you're below six feet and not wealthy. 🙂

Not really, no. I learned this the hard way. That's why I still used to try to date in the past. There IS no difference with women! When they get hundreds of men in their inboxes and just as many simps in real life, "preference" doesn't exist.

Hell, I'd say no woman anywhere has a "preference" for anything in a man. That sh*t is a hard requirement and no fulfilling it, is a dealbreaker. The thing is, is she going to admit that out loud or keep that part quiet or not.

Ideally they would be within the same height range as me, just for convenience (no one has to stand on their toes or bend their neck so much it hurts xD), but if I connect with someone, I don't really care about any of that stuff.

Not to me, it doesn’t. I’d date a guy taller or shorter than me. I’d even date a man with dwarfism if he treated me kindly and respected me. Generally, I prefer taller men. They make me feel more safe and protected but I wouldn’t turn a guy down for his height alone.
