Girls, at what point do you start to realize that you are tired of being single and want to start dating a guy. And how do you iniate that?

Just saw this pop up in the feed and I think it is a really good question. I found myself in this situation after two years of not dating. The pandemic really was the cause of that. I had no desire to date and it wasn't like it would be fun trying during covid.

So, when I felt like things were getting back to normal, I decided if the opportunity presented itself, I would take a shot. I promised myself I would not force anything and just be patient for the right guy.

I am glad I was patient. I am now engaged to the guy I started dating. He just walked into my life one day out of nowhere. In other words, I got lucky.

I initiated it by flirting a bit to see what kind of reaction I got back. If it was positive, then I knew he might accept an offer to go out. So, I flirted a bit and struck up a conversation. Once I was fairly certain he was interested, I made my move and asked if he wanted to have lunch some day.

He said yes and the rest is history. We just fit so well with each other that I knew in a very short time he was the one. We are now engaged and marry at the end of the year.
