Absolutely you should break up with someone that you don't feel like the relationship is working out. That is not good to stay in a relationship that you are not committed to. Whatever the reason might be. Just because you break up and have one less person to communicate with doesn't mean you should force something that isn't there.

Relationships are hard work and take two people that are dedicated to each other. If that dedication is gone, there is no point in forcing yourself to be together. It also isn't fair for her.

Both of you deserve to be in a relationship that you want to be in. If you are not happy and think it is best to break up, that is what you should do. Breaking up is never easy, nor fun. However, when it is in the best interest to do so, it is important to move on in fairness to her and yourself.
