Is it normal not to text a lot before a first date?

I matched with this girl on Hinge, and she was quite forward. After a few message exchanges she asked if I would like to meet up and then gave me her availability. We swapped numbers and message on WhatsApp now.

We were supposed to meet for our first date last week but we had to postpone as she had a personal situation to take care of. We're now going to meet on Tuesday for our first date.

What I've noticed is that we don't text a lot right now. The messages are quite short and to the point. Sometimes we don't always respond straightaway and sometimes the convo ends abruptly. We don't text everyday and most exchanges last about 10 texts or so.

Is this normal? Or do people normally text more before a first date?

It is not abormal- I've experienced it a number of times. It really depends on communication style and how many other people that person is talking to.

I'd say it depends on her. Some women I've messaged for weeks before they wanted to meet me. Some have literally messaged me two sentences and wanted to meet me after 10 minutes. I'd say it all has to do with her and her comfort level.

Well you don't want to use up all your energy in texting. Save the conversations for the date and keep the communication clear. Just relax

100%. Save all that for the date. Better to have more things to talk about while face to face anyway
