How often should a guy text after first date?

I met up with my first Bumble guy Thursday and I was not 100% into him but we were definitely really compatible and he was very good looking

Anyways he texted me after the date saying he had a good time but didn't really seem super excited over text. I replied immediately thanking him for coming out. He texted me again this morning asking about something I was supposed to text him. Again, he did not seem super excited over text so I tried to lighten the mood a bit with ! and :) but he kinda just said have a nice day and left it at that. I replied immediately just like before

Anyways he texted me one last time 15 hours later but this time I purposely took 2 hours to reply and barely said anything.

I kind of can't shake the feeling that he's not really into me. I mean 15 hours between text messages? Is this normal after a first date or are all guys like this? Or is he not interested?

He texted me back saying that he has been seeing someone else and got into a relationship with her. He then just said "Nice talking"

Engage him with interesting conversation and show interest. Throw in some sexual innuendo if you see he's responding to you. You don't know if 15 hours later was his first opportunity to talk and reply right back to you. It's one thing to offset by maybe a minute or two but people live on their phones.

You could be on a group chat or playing a game on your phone or something. I reply right back to people all the time. If he's interested, that's not gonna be what hurts your chances.

What's gonna ruin your chances with this guy is if you have hours/days of conversations that don't go anywhere (meaning sexting, meetup plans or an interesting conversation)

And if he doesn't text again when you ignore for two hours can also mean he's a gentleman knowing your phones not glued to your hand and you've got other stuff to do. just ask if he wants to go out somewhere. Doesn't have to be a date but could be some festival thing. public with other people. to see if there's more chemistry
