Texting too much before a first date?

If I have plans with a girl a few weeks away. Should I NOT text her a lot? I don't want there to be nothing to talk about when we do meet? But I also don't want to seem like I don't have time for her. Do some girls need to text a lot before meeting someone? Any thoughts?

Take your cure from her, if she's messaging you first a lot and replying right away with long responses to your messages then she likes to text a lot. If not, I'd mostly leave her alone and wait until the date to spend time in real life getting to know her.
