How long do you take between a first and second date?

For me if the 1st date went well, I as a man am looking for a second date within the next week or two at the most. If the first date goes well, I usually ask her if she would like to do it again sometime and if she says yes, then I ask her how she would like going to a; movie, ball game, dinner or whatever next week. Then I am chatting her within the next 48 hours to follow up. For me if I am interest I do not want her to be confused about it. I like my intentions to be know upfront. If they think I am moving to fast then that is okay with me, because that communicates that she is not on the same level with me or that she has doubts.

So as a guy you don't want to waste too much time chasing after a women who is not into it... so if she can't commit to a second date with the next week or two then she's not the one for me.

So as a women I would think that if the guy is not asking or following up for a second date with the first 48 hours of the first date that something is up.

Back when I was dating it really depended on our availability. I wouldn’t put a time stamp between when we see each other again because I’m not one to play by a rule book. Like if it’s next day and we’re both free for whatever reason then why not do something? Rather than wait as not to seem too eager and things like that.
