... its shady. Does he have a drug problem or some other issue. You don't want to be in this situation regardless of whether you are a man or a woman in the relationship. Partners should contribute equally in a relationship. Even if the woman or man stays home and takes care of kids while the other one works; the amount of contribution should be close to equal.

I bet there are situations where it is right and most of us would be hesitant to do so depend on our partner. With my ex in 12 years I did not see a single sign of financial responsibility or accountability partner. Most burden was on me. To pay bills on time. She heavily relied on me for pretty much all I could do or not. One time I asked her to pay her car installment. Guess what happened. That was the only month we were late on payment.

Buying car insurance? Nope she would drive without insurance get pulled over by cops. I would end up paying penalties. I have paid at least $6000 in penalties on her behalf if not any more than that. So per year she would easily gather $500 in penalties. Those were not the only penalties I paid. But that has nothing to do with your question.

And once the loann was paid she promptly borrowed on other vehicle. I did requested to let me know before selling vehicle. I was planning to keep that vehicle and sell my car. Due to low mileage on that car.

And I warned her if she sells I am not paying installments on new car which I did not.

If he's my fiance or husband then yes it's ok. If he's my boyfriend and we're just dating NOPE. Same goes for the woman.

Yes. If you need money you can ask anyone, and your partner is probably the first one to ask, ... or maybe not, as you maybe already sharing a home and some of your money.
