What makes internet dating useful for meeting men who share interests when you can't find them in real life or they're already taken?

I was thinking about how I don't seem to be able to meet any guys in real life who have any common interests. Although I've met some guys before, they all have girlfriends. In real life, I haven't had much success with men. I first tried out a few different online dating sites. There was a hit or a miss. Facebook dating can also be effective or unsuccessful when looking for someone with comparable interests. Only after a guy on another dating website suggested it to me did I start using Facebook dating. I can send texts and connect with them quickly when I'm online dating, or I have been rejected by one guy. The next guy that matches the profile is the one I'm looking for a relationship with. No wasting time

It seems to me that internet dating is ideal for a woman for meeting men who share mutual interests.

I'm currently a paid subscriber on POF and I've chatted with several women. They all say the same thing. They get 20 - 30 emails a day from men wanting to meet them. One woman said she didn't go on the site for several days and when she got back on she had over 100 emails in her inbox!

So you will have to sift through them to find out if they have similar interests as yours. You get to "pick and choose!"

If you don't want to waste time, with the men you choose, you can first do a video chat with them to make sure they look like their pictures.

Online dating is a great way for women to meet men. It kind of sucks for men though because most of the women are looking for the top 20% of the men.

I am limited to type of guys I can date or be in relationships with guys that have a learning disability and is because I have a learning disability. Always has been this way. My mum does not like when I talk about guys without learning disability and I should only be allowed to date guys with a learning disability or I can't date. Couldn't find any single guy that isn't taken or didn't have common interest in real life.

I understand what you are saying. I belong to several social clubs and every woman I know is in a relationship. So I turn to online dating too. If you create a profile on a dating site and list your interests and say you only want to meet someone who has a learning disability there will be men who will respond.

Some men did respond but others did lead me on and did get rejected by one guy. I am texting a guy that does have a learning disability. He is also looking for friendship or relationship. Did had more bad experience with previous relationship with some ex partners.

I'm not a fan of online dating, just general, but it can be useful if you're in special interest communities.

Not personal information I don't share with anyone. Common interest is video gaming, airplane , laptop, photograph, art and just about what I am looking for respectful, kind, trustworthy , honest and knowing from right to wrong. Only looking for a relationship. Nothing else will not interest me.
