There's a difference between a random idiot saying that and a trained professional. In the professional sense it means you brain is literally lying to you and you will likely have self-destructive behaviour which won't give satisfaction.

Most women from what I have seen/heard/experience tell that to each other. Their may be some guys who do that to but I don't know. As for why i guess its just to make fun of her or something?
