Is it a date if you have lunch with a guy?

I Had to go to work straight after we had lunch. We both paid for our own food and after we finished eating he dropped me off to the nearest train station so that I could get to work easily. We were hanging out for about 3+ hours.

Not really, I mean it depends on your prior relationship with him and reason for having lunch. It could be platonic or professional in nature.

I once met a female colleague for lunch outside of work, it was supposed to be a working lunch, but ended up including a long discussion about our personal lives. It felt kind of like a date, but I didn't go there with that intention.

Yes-anyone I know would. Why do you not? A one-one gathering of the opposite sex is a date. In fact, I thought the question was odd so I texted two lady friends. One, is a new relationship for me while the other is known 15 years. Yes, of course AND “you don’t remember our first meet date was at the lame Starbucks”

It went well, I guess. I had to leave after that to go to work and it was kind of planned on the spot because we both went somewhere near my place together and were both hungry at the time.

Perfect as each had opportunity to get a sense of one another in a neutral place but had reasons to move-on if it was horrible... Great, it went well !!- How long before married ;-)

Yes, it was the first time. He said that he was hungry and wanted to grab a bite and then I said me too and then he said alright, let’s go.

Yeah I think it’s a good sign anyways. But as for now you have to see how he acts around you and if he communicates with you. Like for example if he doesn’t talk to you much or messages you then he wasn’t looking for a date~ now it’s up to his actions
