Why would you a guy follow you?

This guy that I’ve hooked up with in the past. Looked at my social media and went to the same place I posted on the same night. The whole night he never came up to me, but I went up to him to say hi. He literally saw where I was and went there. This is not in a sketchy way, because we know each other well. I just find it odd to do that and then act like you didn’t see my social media. I would literally tell my friends that we are going somewhere else.
