Do people have the confidence to just ask someone if they like them any more or just have the confidence to tell someone you like them?

I’ve seen so many posts about how so I know if X person likes me or not? Why not just ask or if you like them just say something what’s the worst that could happen? So do you wait around till the world gives you an answer or do you strive to find your own answer?

Nope. I'd judge the situation and then ask myself. I think when they are asking, they already know. They need encouragent and confirmation.

That’s definitely not attractive then. Needing confirmation instead of just risking it all and saying how you feel.

Agreed. There is something to be said about confidence that isn't arrogant or needing others approval.

It’s really not that hard though. Like is it confidence or lack there of or do people just not know how to talk to one another any more? Like did we lose the basics of conversation some point down the line

I think they just don't know how, because kids these days have a phone shoved in their faces from first grade, or younger! Social skills can be hard for some but incorporating less interactions with people in person takes a toll. Just my opinion. I wasn't allowed to sit around on a phone texting people, I had to go actually make friends, meet people, frequent social situations... I think that helps a great deal and is lacking. You have to practice everything to get better at it. Seeing the persons reactions and tone in the voice is huge when it comes to this.

Okay, I misinterpreted. I thought you meant “I think I like to get to know you verse emotional bombardment of my feelings for you.” The second is Selfish and unnecessary.
I now understand that you mean, Tell me if you are interested cause it doesn’t do us any good if you tell your friend only”.

Not confident, immature, and very high maintenance requiring consistent reassurance type people “tell the friend… but not the actual person.”
