What do you guys do when someone texts too much?

If someone texts me too much, I will not reply to them until I’m free. I would also consider letting them know politely that they should not text me too much when I’m busy and contact me only if it is an emergency or if they REALLY need to talk.

They have to understand that your life does not revolve only around them and that their constant need to text you is overwhelming.

Why is this under “dating”? If it’s someone you are seeing, meeting them face to face every week depending on your schedule would be good. You could talk to them about this and tell them that you are not a good texter and would prefer texting less.

I stop replying too fast, and make them wait an hour or two. Or I text them and say I am busy but will get back to them later.. which I always do. Unless I am not interested in them, then I ghost on them.

Or since I don't like texting that much, I will ask if I can call them later and then I will call and talk to them for no more 20 to 40 minutes. Just so they don't think I am ignoring them. But I usually start out by saying I am not a big text type of person.
