he's a year older than i am. I'm in 11th and he's in 12th. I saw him when he was clicking pictures for our school concert's BTS. He looked so adorable while he was focused... It melted my heart <3 I told my friend about him and she said that he's super rich and super popular with the girls... she's friends with him so she stalked his socials for me and turns out that he's also super fit T~T

Now my friend wants to set me up with him but i dont want her to because he is sooooooo out of my league T~T

what should i do? i seriously dont want to embarrass myself in front of him...

You know that leagues are a social construct to segregate people into categories, right?

There is no such thing as a league when it comes to human behavior just like there is no Greek alphabet lettering to define a person's character. Alpha females or beta males are solely used in the animal world and not with humans. That is equally wrong and also just a social construct.

If you like that person, then you simply let him know. However, knowing that he is popular among your female peers will make it difficult for you to be singled out from the rest of the girls. If you don't try anything, you will not succeed either. It is all up to you. There is no miracle remedy to be successful. You simply have to show him that you are special.

However, let me be honest with you. At age 16, you are probably just another candidate in his eyes, not because he is rich or cute but simply because at his age, he sees girls just as victims that are willing to do a lot just to be in his company. You will be misused just like all the other girls simply because he knows that he has that kind of impact on women.

Well be real with yourself oki? Not everyone will be into you and while being someone out of your league isn't necessarily what would make it not work, it's a factor.
So here's my suggestion, if you can just start talking to him. He's still just another person, you could tell him that you heard he's good and something that you wanted to get into to, you could ask for help in studying something. Basically just get a feel for how keen he'd possibly be. Now if irl is too much, do the same thing online. Follow and dm him, and just try to chat.
You'll find out very quickly if he's not interested at all. If he talks a lot, he might just want to be friends, but he definitely likes you in some way.

Last option is just letting the crush be a crush and not acting on it XD

Honestly, knowing what I know now I would recommend you worry about college applications your junior year more than social popularity. Get all your state requirements done and then worry about extracurriculars. If you’re that certain he’s out of your league anyways, what are you doing or bringing to the table that is so different from every other girl like you? He’s probably getting sex from whoever he wants to, so giving him that isn’t going to buy his attention time or loyalty. You’re going to have to do better, and then what are you even getting in return?
