I like guys out of my league. Is there any point in trying?

I'm quite pretty, maybe a 6.5 /10. I have a pretty face but a slightly chubby body and I'm short. I'm nowhere near drop-dead gorgeous or anything like that. But I'm happy with my looks.

Anyway, I find that I'm typically attracted to the really really hot guys. Even my friends say I have very high standards. But I tend to crush on the model-looking men, or the men who look like Abercrombie workers etc. But they seem to be immediately drawn to my best friend who is also model-looking, instead of me. Should I not bother trying to get those guys? Should I lower my standards?

All I have to say is too have confidence. And a lot of guys like women who can take care of themselves if a let's say 3.5/10 guy that was pretty heavy, sweaty, not cleaned up would you want to go out with him? You gotta look at things from the person your trying to gets perspective usually people go for people that are similar looking in general but if you have confidence and you put in the effort make sure he hasn't messed with any other woman make sure you don't get into a manipulative relationship and remember this. Most guys that aren't as good looking have way better hearts than those that do and go out with a lot of women and flirt with them but guess what, that guy has confidence in his appearance and is able to get those women. T. L. D. R confidence, appearance ain't everything, beware of really good looking guys cause your gonna have competition just like guys with hot girls

You never know unless you ask! Even if someone rejects you. Yeah it sucks. But you will find someone else.

I have trouble getting really hot men like you describe and I'm an easy 9 with a nice body. I have my pick of most guys, but the super hot guys have their pick of all girls and they know it. Truly.

Of course there's a point. Have confidence, make yourself as enticing as possible, be a fun and uplifting woman to deal with.

It's not often you see a woman admit she isn't perfect. Being grounded is much more attractive then being delusional.
With that being said, we are generally our hardest critics so if you say 6.5 others may see 7 or 7.5

Work on the things within your control, accept the things you can't, and know that looks are number one in hookups and casual dating. But character trump's appearance in commitment

I train daily. What I think is that a girl shall train too, not because of disliking her body (which many times I find attractive anyways), but because it means we have the same values of self care.

For instance the reason why people don't endure healthy habits is the opposite of what they think, they put too much short term pressure on themselves instead of finding a way of flowing and enjoying the process.
