If so many people hate America why do you still live here then?

I will never understand people who get offended by our flag, national anthem, fuck even the bald eagle. Why not just pack up and move to south America or Canada.

Few such people come by this on their own - it's largely taught to them in school - college obviously but sometimes from elementary school because Marxism intentionally invaded education and academia, having come from academia originally.

The National Socialists (Nazis) and the Marxists fought (literally) for control of Germany because of the weakness of the Weimar Republic that resulted from the incredibly high cost of reparations Germany was forced to pay by the Treaty of Versailles. When it became clear that the Marxists weren't going to win - and that the Nazis had made their intention of destroying them quite clear, and group of Marxist academics from Frankfurt moved from Germany to the US, and were able to set up The Frankfurt School as a division of Columbia University in New York, funded by pro-Marxist elites in the US, such as the Rockefellers.

The Frankfurt School continues even today as a leader of Marxist thought and policy and helps create the strategy for a Marxist take-over of the US by destroying existing Western culture and capitalism. And having taken over academia in the 70s and 80s, and education as a whole in the 90s, it has spread wide, but perhaps no where more visibly than in the entertainment business.

Of course, Marxism has quickly devolved into tyrannical dictatorship every single time it has been tried, which also brought mass poverty and death in numbers that most people can't comprehend. The "useful idiots" advocating for Marxism don't even know that the standard procedure once Marxism has been achieved is to line up and shoot all of the activists who helped the process - because such people are considered dangerous to the new regime that they helped bring to power.

The US is far from perfect, but the ideals that were the foundation of the Constitution are THE shining light in the world, even when we uphold them poorly. Without the US, nearly everyone would be a subject of a tyrant whose life was worth virtually nothing.

Is it really so hard to believe that someone can criticize the way their country is run and still love living there? I love my home state of Tennessee, I love the hills and the wildlife, I love the people, I love how my roots are planted here. What I don’t love is the politics, how much I hate my local politicians for making us look like assholes in congress, I hate how there are so many religious nuts fighting for a theocracy in my state, I hate how so many Tennesseans would gladly disregard the separation of church and state just to feel morally superior, I hate how a much smaller number of Tennesseans would happily lynch queer people if it was legal.

Critiquing and criticizing your country does not mean you hate it. It means you hate who’s in charge. So when I say “I hate living in Tennessee/America” it means I hate how things are being objectively run into the dirt to appeal to an incredibly small minority of voters who just happen to also be the loudest. I hate to see my country damaged and mismanaged because of poor leadership.

Because they see America as better than the alternative. But they want to change it to make it even better yet. I mean face it. America is not perfect, but it’s a heck of a lot better than El Salvador or Saudi Arabia (at least if you’re female).

Well, I mean…. it’s possible to love your country and not love certain aspects about it. Also, other countries don’t just let you move there willy-nilly. I probably can’t move to Canada because I’m not an engineer or a doctor, I’d be just another rando dude. The other country has to accept and approve your application to move there, which is weird to me, because this is just Earth and we should be able to live anywhere. Countries aren’t even real, only humans observe that concept.

Anyway, in a country of what, like 300M people or something?, not everyone will have the same values and customs and beliefs, and that’s ok. There will be clashes over that from time to time, but that shouldn’t be the end of the world.

Also, in an increasingly global world, I think it makes sense for humans to start evolving out of this “us vs them” mentality, that’s starting to feel like primitive caveman shit, “I’m from this country, and I don’t like YOUR country”….. I mean, c’mon, folks, what are we, in kindergarten? We need better than that out of adults, lmao.

Anyway…I’m not offended by the flag or any national symbols. But it IS foolish to have unconditional love for a country/government. I feel like some people have this extreme need to “belong”, and being a citizen of a country is the most basic way to do that. But we get this crazy, irrational sports fan mentality about it, and I think that’s foolish. It’s not just us, I see it elsewhere too. But it’s weird divisiveness that doesn’t need to happen. If we desire to be “divided” from people who might just operate differently than we do, that speaks poorly of our own character.

Lots of reasons. First of all, believing that there’s room for improvement isn’t the same as hating the country or the society we’ve created. There are a lot of conservative politicians and pundits deliberately conflating those things to keep people at odds with each other instead of looking at the real and true oppressors. Because it’s usually conservatives saying that nonsense, i liken it to divorce. They’re usually opposed to divorce, often for religious reasons, but they see the importance of commitment and working through issues. So how does it make sense for people to just “divorce” their homeland? Patriotism isn’t blind faith that ours is the best nation on the planet. Patriotism is seeing that even though we have a good thing, it could be better and WORKING toward improvement. Not just giving up and moving on to another country; the literal equivalent to divorce.
Are there people here who are truly hateful and trying to destroy the US? Probably. But they’re such a tiny minority that you’ve likely never met one and likely never will. You’d probably never know it if you did meet one because the things they have to do to destroy us are all illegal, and often violent. They’re terrorists and they’re in hiding. The people protesting issues you don’t care about and voting differently from you are neither terrorists, nor patently dangerous beyond typical mob mentality. They’re not hateful. They’re just frustrated that everyone else doesn’t see what they see as easy improvements to the society we’ve created. Kinda like you’re frustrated that everyone doesn’t see the great things you likely see in the society we’ve created. Harmony doesn’t come naturally. It requires diligence to balance appreciation of the good things, acceptance of the bad things we cannot change, and the determination to fix the bad things that we can. None of it is possible without tolerance. Let that sink in.

America isn’t perfect. No country is. Other than our high crime rates, l still feel safer living here than anywhere else. 2 reasons why. The Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Yes, the Mexican Drug Cartels have invaded the US, but not the Mexican government. And Canada sure as hell won’t be rolling any tanks or shipping any of their military hardware, by air or by train, onto American soil just to occupy our northern states before attempting to invade the gun loving southern states.

The reason it sounds like so many Americans hate it here is because we have the freedom to do so, publicly. We can speak and protest against anything, as long as it is peacefully, that we disagree with. And when we do, unless we do it violently, we will not be awoken in the middle of the night to never be seen again, or publicly hanged by piano wire along our streets by those wanting to deter any of our efforts to speak freely.

There is a reason Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa have been plagued by war since man has been capable of violence, too many countries located in those regions are all pretty much land locked. Militaries spend little effort marching across other countries borders. And with railways, the logistics of transporting military machinery by rail is far too easy. Except maybe Russia and former Soviet satellite states. Those rail lines are wider than the rest of Europe.

We also will bitch about our southern border security, but those immigrants from all over the world are crossing into where? These un-United States of America. I added, un, because we are a free nation, the moment, we are politically divided and l stress the word “FREE”.

They're exactly where they want to be, hoping to issue a Bolshevik revolution. Weather underground in the 60s was working up to this before they got caught wanting to eliminate half the country instilling Marxism. Ironically the ghost writer of Hussein's book was involved with them. From other countries I think there is envy and some angst at not being the power they were once.

The Left hates Western culture even though the world is a far better place for it. Perhaps they still resent that the workers of the world never united under the leadership of the intelligentsia and were content with becoming wealthier with TVs fridges etc.
