That's a good question. I wonder about the same thing. Maybe it's because they play the oppressed victim role but when it comes down to it they really don't want to leave. But those people like to threaten to leave a lot.

Well…I think it’s more complicated than that. There’s no one correct way to love one’s country. What you might love about it, I might hate, and vice versa, so I think it’s tough to define patriotism and what exactly should make us feel good or bad about our country, I think that’s relatively subjective. There’s more than one way to be a good country, it’s not just about being big and tough on the world stage, and having lots of money, that’s more superficial stuff that I’m personally less concerned with. I’m a decency guy. I would rather be dirt poor drinking water from a filthy river and living in a shack, being universally decent to people as individuals and as a nation. My quality of life isn’t a driving issue, I would consider myself selfish and a bad person for being driven by that.

Also…. other countries don’t just let you move there willy-nilly, it’s not as simple as just packing up and leaving, whether someone is yelling at you to, or you’re personally threatening to. For everyone saying “love it or leave it”, for everyone saying they’ll move to Canada if Trump wins…. we can’t, guys. Canada doesn’t want us, lmfao. They’re gonna be like “uhhhh, are you like an engineer or a doctor or something? Otherwise, we’re all set, you can’t come.”

So we’re all stuck with each other, guys. Let’s try to take the temperature down a bit and try to make this work😂

Why won't you? It's quite simple: in a free society, the things that you object to can usually be changed.

If YOU were discontent, would you stay in a place where discontentment is acknowledged, accepted, and (theoretically) addressed? Or somewhere where it gets you beheaded?

Because they can visit but they are never allowed to leave. The USA does not allow it. The USA used to but not anymore. They will tax you whereever you live.
